Executing organisations

The Max Foundation collaborates with several partner organizations in Bangladesh. We try to work together with these organizations on a long-term basis in order to get the best results. At the moment, the Max Foundation is collaborating with the following partners:

SLOPB

Stichting Land Ontwikkelings Project Bangladesh (SLOPB, www.slopb.org) focuses on improving living standards and health promotion and safety among the poorest people in Bangladesh. SLOPB has in the past established a very successful project in the province of Bauphal. Due to a combined approach of water facilities and education on hygiene child mortality has been halved from 9.4% to 5.5%.

Aloshikha

Aloshikha (www.aloshikha.nl)  intends to improve the quality of life of the poorest populations in Bangladesh. Improving hygiene and fighting illnesses such as diarrhea and hepatitis plays an important role in this.

Aungkur

Aungkur Pali Unnayan Kendra (www.aungkur.org) is a Bengali non-profit organization and centre for rural development. The organization was established in 1989 and has been working in the Madaripur district since 1991. Aungkur aims to improve the social economic development of the poorest people in this area. At the moment Aungkur is concentrating on health projects, micro credit and education.

Paras

Palli Rakkha Sangstha (PARAS) is a non-government organisation, working in remotest and disaster affected areas in Sirajganj, Bogra & Dinajpur district. Meaning of PARAS is to help the local people to escape from poverty.

BDS

Bangladesh Development Society (BDS) is a non-government voluntary development organization working in the 6 southern districts namely Barisal, Patuakhali, Madaripur, Gopalgonj, Pirojpur and Bhola since 1978. Through operating integrated and sustainable development programs it has been in touched with the poor, distressed and disadvantaged people of the south of Bangladesh. The Major activities of BDS has been to mobilize and organize the disadvantaged land-less women and men into groups as the entry point for all its development activities in the areas of education, training, health, credit, safe drinking water and sanitation, networking, gender and development.
